Our Television Centre studio facility is the home to the Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice
Following on from a successful series residency in 2018, Love Productions has brought The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice back to our 10,800 sq. ft studio, TC1, every year since. The most recent recording block for the fifth series ran for ten weekly episodes on Saturday nights from September-November 2021.
We provide the show with full studio and technical services, as well as a range of support services including studio management, engineering and electricians. With a 280-strong audience spread across our retractable seating rostra and an additional 60 on gingham-clad teashop-style tables on the studio floor (adorned with the audience’s home-baked goods), the show is captured using our HDC-4300 cameras and recorded via our EVS XS4K tapeless recording system.
An Extra Slice – hosts Jo Brand and Tom Allen with celebrity Bake Off fans
The Great British Bake Off’s companion show, An Extra Slice, gives fans another bite of Bake Off. Host, Jo Brand, chats to a panel of celebrity fans about all the action, and meets the latest baker to leave the tent, with fellow comedian, Tom Allen, reviewing the bakes brought in by the audience.
